Fritom is an important player in logistics services in the Netherlands. Fritom Group consists of seven operating companies and Fritom Corporate. The knowledge and skills surrounding the services lie within the operating companies. Fritom Corporate facilitates finance, risk, strategy, legal, business development, IT, and R&D. Fritom Group needed a strategic exploration of the opportunities that 'digital' offers and the impact of this on the organisation of the company. To do this, we have set up a process to analyse the most important developments that are relevant to Fritom from robotics and analytics to platform links and portal technology. We had in-depth discussions with the operating companies and corporate. The question then was: what do we focus on and how will we organise this across the group? We have set out a roadmap for the coming years. It has been embraced and is now being implemented.
