CDP is a non-profit organisation that manages a global reporting platform for investors, companies, cities, states, and regions, to manage their environmental impact. In 2000, CDP was founded with the ambition to create a global economic system that operates within sustainable environmental limits and prevents dangerous climate change. The idea is to encourage companies (via the authority of investors) to disclose their CO2 impact, which would lead to insight and action against climate change. CDP has now grown into a front-runner in the fight against climate change. Worldwide, CDP is seen as the gold standard for reporting environmental impact: more than 14,000 organisations from around the world reported data to CDP in 2021. They represent more than 20 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions.

We helped CDP's CIO organisation in London with the translation of CDP's strategic principles into CIO plans, to implement the right technology in the coming years. To continue the growth, together with the CIO teams, we delivered the 'roadmap', analysed what capabilities are needed for success, and translated this into a “Build, Buy, Partner” strategy and the necessary budgets.
